The only downside to entering Niseko is that all international flights to Tokyo arrive at Narita International Airport. Which is a 1-hour bus ride from Haneda to Tokyo? (transfers between airports may increase your journey by hours. Yes, if your national flight does not match international flights and bus transfers). When you have the choice to cross Hong Kong, there are limited international direct flights to Sapporo New Chitose Airport.
Bus travel from Sapporo to Niseko is easy. Since the altitude of Niseko Base Camp is about the same as that of the airport. The road is very straight and there are few difficulties.
There are many accommodation options in Niseko, and your first decision is which town to live in. There are four different areas. Hirafu Village, Niseko Village (Higashiyama), Annupuri and Hanazono.
Hilton niseko village
If you don’t like nightlife and want to enjoy some of the best powder paradise available from Niseko. Annupuri is a good choice. During storms, the connection between other ski areas and Annupuri closes, keeping the crowd away from this tiny dusty paradise. It also has some best hot springs in the area (Japanese hot springs).
Hirafu is the main town where you can find parties with dozens of restaurants and bars. It also has the largest range of accommodation in Niseko. This is by far the most popular area for international guests.
It locates Niseko Village between Hirafu and Annupuri, and most trails in the area are suitable for beginners. They limit the accommodation to a large 4-star hotel; Hilton Niseko Village. The promising center of Niseko is the flower town. The area purchased by the Australian consortium a few years ago when it comprised the only one-day center. Today it is an event center with restaurants, bars, and various accommodations.
